Rose Potpourri with cloves

Over on our blog we have a recipe for a winter rose potpourri. This utilises rose petals and cloves to make the classic rose fragrance warmer and spicier over the festive period. As the scent of the cloves is naturally strong, we recommend adding a few drops of a rose fragrance oil to balance the aromas.

Christmas potpourri

Check out our recipe for chunky orange and cinnamon potpourri from our list of DIY Christmas Potpourri. It would be perfect for Christmas and uses a sprinkling of whole cloves for added spice. Or, try our Christmas potpourri recipe which is a similar mix of ingredients with the addition of rosehips and pinecones for a truly festive blend.

If you are looking to take your Christmas tree to the next level, check out our recipe for Christmas scented bags. Use red, green or gold organza bags filled with cloves, orange slices and cinnamon sticks to turn your tree into a beautiful sensory experience. These are also great as a stocking filler, or use food-safe versions of this mix for mulling wine during the festive period.

Wreaths are a staple Christmas craft. Add cloves to your natural wreath to add a warm scent that welcomes visitors to your home over winter. Take a look at our Natural Christmas Wreath page for more craft ideas and see how you can incorporate cloves.
