Cinnamon Sticks for a Spicy Fragrance
Cinnamon sticks add a warm and spicy fragrance to potpourri and are perfect for festive crafts. Also known as quills, these sticks aren’t as fragrant as you would expect. Breaking them open releases the subtle spicy fragrance, however it’s common to boost the scent by adding cinnamon home fragrance oil or to buy ready made scented sticks. For a warm touch in your kitchen or lounge, use these on their own for a modern look or in a potpourri mix for a blend of fragrances, colours and shapes.
Cinnamon Handmade Potpourri

This hand-mixed potpourri is made up of pine cones, seed pods and flowers with a rich warm scent, enhanced by a few drops of cinnamon fragrance oil. Items you might find in the mix are cinnamon sticks, cedar roses, pine cones, alder cones, brunch balls, casurina pods, cotton pods, bellani slice, helichrysum flowers. The sweet spicy fragrance is perfect for your kitchen.
Although perfect for potpourri, cinnamon sticks are also great for crafts over the festive period. Use a glue gun to add the quills to mixed Christmas wreaths and garlands alongside pine cones, foliage, baubles and ribbons.
