Home Fragrance Oils for Elevation and Revival

Home fragrance oils can enhance and develop the natural aromas of potpourri. Some natural potpourri ingredients can have subtle fragrances or a scent that can fade over time. These oils easily refresh potpourri so they last longer and can add a new dimension to the fragrance profile.

The Cosy Scent of Christmas

Christmas is often associated with warm and spicy fragrances, displaying potpourri made up of ingredients like orange, cinnamon and cloves. For example, try making our chunky orange and cinnamon potpourri. Cinnamon sticks often have a naturally subtle spice to them which is beautifully enhanced by a few drops of cinnamon fragrance oil. This would be perfect in your kitchen over Christmas, welcoming guests into a warm and cosy festive-feeling environment. For more of a zesty, fruity feel, try adding Just Orange fragrance oil, or use both oils for a true Christmas sensory experience.

Fresh and Floral Spring and Summer

In a citrus potpourri, perfect for spring and summer, try adding Just Lemon fragrance oil. In our Sunshine Citrus potpourri – one of our chunkier mixes – we use a few drops of both lemon and lime fragrance oils. This boosts the fresh, citrusy fragrance that would otherwise be more subtle.

For Valentine’s Day trying making a rose based potpourri. We have a recipe for Sweetheart potpourri that utilises different colour rose petals and buds. For our recipe, we used a pink pepper & lotus pod fragrance oil, however if you want a pure rose scent add Just Rose fragrance oil. Alternatively, for a fruity twist, we suggest adding a few drops of a pomegranate oil to add a new dimension.

At Daisyshop, we source our home fragrance oils from Hassett Green and have a wide range available on our website. For example, try a simple fragrance like Cotton or Silk for a clean and fresh smelling home – perfect for use in a lounge or bedroom.
