Essential oils: Natural, Useful and Smell Amazing
Essential oils are great for refreshing potpourri, are naturally occurring and can have aromatherapy uses. These are a great alternative to home fragrance oils which are also beautifully scented, however are manmade and can lack therapeutic properties.
Our Favourite Essential Oils

Lavender essential oil is great for refreshing potpourri and can enhance the properties of dried lavender. It is great for boosting the aromatherapy uses of dried lavender for calmness and improved sleep, as well as for moth deterrence in wardrobes and drawers. Cedarwood essential oil would be a great addition to a woody, warm potpourri mix or to cedar roses. Our essential oils supplier Ancient Wisdom suggests cedarwood essential oil is great for deodorising indoor environments, repelling insects, preventing the development of mildew, improving cerebral activity, relaxing the body, enhancing concentration, decreasing hyperactivity, reducing harmful stress, easing tension and clearing the mind.
For a natural refresh on a summery, floral potpourri, we recommend using a rose essential oil. It has a good old fashioned rose fragrance with several therapeutic properties. Ancient wisdom tell us that it has antidepressant agents that help boost confidence, mental health and fights depression. It can also combat acne apparently!
Craft Ideas
