Elizabethan Potpourri

One of our popular botanical potpourris is a handmade Elizabethan potpourri. We use flowers traditionally found in the garden or on a herb stall: rose petals and dried lavender with a sprinkling of cornflower petals and marigolds, orange peel, rose buds and a few cloves. Our exclusive potpourri is reminiscent of traditional recipes dating back to Tudor and Elizabethan times (hence the name!). We developed this mix after a suggestion from a former chairman of The Herb Society. The subtle natural floral fragrance of the lavender is enhanced with a few drops of Just Rose fragrance oil.

Cottage Garden Potpourri

Our Cottage Garden potpourri comes in natural shades of parchment with colourful highlights, perfect for a hallway or lounge. The potpourri is hand-mixed and enhanced with a few drops of honeysuckle and jasmine home fragrance oil – a white floral fragrance of honeysuckle entwined with lily and jasmine blossom. Botanicals you might find in the mix include: nigella seed pods, poppy seed pods, cotton pods, mini pine cones, helichrysums, craspedia, lonas, statice, clover, geraniums, dahlias, asters, amaranth, roses, UK wheat, Phalaris and barley seed heads, and UK grown eucalyptus, rosemary, cistus and bay leaves.
